JOSHUA ABELOW ABELOW ON DELANCEY October 10th - November 10th, 2013 RECEPTION: Wednesday, October 9th, 6 - 8pm James Fuentes is pleased to announce Joshua Abelow's forthcoming exhibition ABELOW ON DELANCEY. In his second exhibition at the gallery, Abelow further explores the pathos, poetics, and self-examination that consume him as an artist. Piecing together a new series of narratives, uniting autobiography and serial abstraction with repeated geometric patterns and color systems, Abelow stations himself as a central player in the landscape of contemporary art. His crossover activities as a blogger influence the scope of his practice and contextualize his work within the company of peers and influences. The new paintings convey Abelow's desire to not only grasp, but also dominate the multitudes of content he finds at his fingertips.
